Christmas in July – News and Changes 

It’s time for our annual Christmas in July community item drive! Each year, we partner with Piedmont Federal Savings Bank to host two community drives to collect household helps, comfort and care items to support the seniors we serve. This year’s wish list and Ways to Give flyer are attached and more information can be found on our website at seniorservicesinc.org. Please share with your networks.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the drive will look a little different this year. We will begin collecting items at our Shorefair Office on June 22^nd. Big red boxes will be available each Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10am-3pm through the end of July for people to drop off items. The items will be brought in and put behind the Hub each day. At the end of the month, we’ll have volunteers sort and stock the items in the centralized storage closet. Piedmont Federal has also made changes to how they will collect at their branches. Instead of having big red boxes in the banks throughout the month they will host three very special Christmas in July events for their customers to donate – the events will include appearances by a summer santa and be as interactive and fun as possible for the community:

• Saturday, July 18  – 9:00am – noon – Stratford Road location (201 S. Stratford Road)
• Saturday, July 25 – 9:00am – noon – Kernersville location (505 Pineview Drive)
• Saturday, July 25 – 9:00am – noon – Clemmons location (3701 Clemmons Road)
