Mark Owens was named President and CEO of the Winston-Salem Chamber, now Greater Winston-Salem, Inc., in 2017. Greater Winston Salem, Inc. is Forsyth County’s premier economic development entity and supports the area’s growth through initiatives in economic recruitment and retention, talent and workforce development, advocacy, and entrepreneur imperatives.

Owens serves on numerous boards including the Board of Directors at Goodwill Industries of Northwest NC, Forsyth Country Day School Board, Kate B. Reynolds Charitable Trust Local Impact Advisory Board, Novant Health Triad Regional Board of Trustees, National Sports Media Association Board, Piedmont Triad Partnership Board, and the Winston-Salem Alliance Board.
