If projections are accurate, by 2050 Hispanics will account for 20% of all Americans age 65 and older. Hispanics are aging faster than other groups and also tend to live longer. Mari Jo Turner, who has been with the Hispanic League since 2012, will help us understand what is happening locally with the Hispanic population. She will share insights about what “successful aging” means in Hispanic culture, how community organizations can help older adults, and what the Hispanic League is doing to improve lives through promoting inclusion, education, health, and multicultural understanding.
