Terry Chance, President
Terry currently serves as a Membership Director for Navigation at Home by Salemtowne, a continuing care at home program. She has a graduate degree in Gerontology and Communications from UNC Charlotte. She has several years’ experience serving as a board member for the International Association of Business Communicators. She is married with one daughter. Her hobbies include reading, biking, kayaking and her rescue dog, Opie.
Cissy McCoy, Vice President
Cissy is the Administrator of Trinity Glen, a skilled nursing facility in Winston Salem. She enjoys getting the opportunity to live her dream of working with seniors. She has been in healthcare for many years and has had previous board experience with NC Healthcare Facilities Association as well as serving as HIPSS President. She is married with one daughter, Meagan, and two dogs. She enjoys reading, knitting and crochet. Her dislikes are Covid-19 and super-long webinars (LOL).
Ryan Gragg, Secretary NEW
Ryan is the owner of ComForCare Home Care in Winston-Salem and CarePatrol of Melbourne, FL. As a fourth-generation owner/operator in the long-term care industry, Ryan continues his family’s legacy of ensuring seniors in our communities continue to age well and with the dignity they deserve. Ryan is married to Antigone Gragg, an attorney at Nexsen Pruet in Greensboro, NC. He is a member of Snow Lodge 363 AF & AM in Boone and Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Winston-Salem.
Gina Gordon, Education Chair NEW
Gina is the owner and operator of CarePatrol of Winston-Salem. Gina officially opened her business October 1, 2022 and is excited to serve Forsyth, Stokes, Surry and Yadkin counties assisting families through the senior placement process. She brings 30 years of healthcare experience to her new role in the senior placement industry. Her clinical experience includes roles as both a Registered Dietitian and a Registered Nurse along with 10+ years of healthcare leadership experience. Most recently, Gina received her certification as a Certified Senior Advisor (CSA). She has been married 29 years to Corby, her high school sweetheart, and was blessed to raise 2 wonderful boys, Jacob and Lucas. They will soon add a daughter-in-law to their family with a September 2023 wedding planned for Jacob and Meghan. As “empty nesters”, Gina and Corby love to travel, enjoy a great meal with a glass of wine, and spoil their sweet dog Rosie.
Fran McMeekin, Membership Chair NEW
Fran is the Client Liaison for Caring Hands Home Health. She works directly with patients and their families as well as with healthcare institutions throughout their six-county area. Fran has been with Caring Hands Home Health, as well as a member of HIPSS, since April of this year. Fran graduated from UNC-Greensboro and has been in the medical field for 20+ years. She adores her family and enjoys most anything outside. Fran has an adventurous spirit and brings that energy with her in everything she does. You may find her on a run, at the local rescue mission, at a Caldwell Academy basketball game supporting her kids or at a Kenny Chesney concert.
Sandy Bowen, Community Outreach Chair
Sandy is a care coordinator for Always Best Care Senior Services.
Lynn Johnson, Treasurer
Lynn has been in the geriatric world since the age of 14. She has a BS in Business Administration and Economics. She received her Assisted Living Administrators license in 1989 (which is still active). And her Nursing Home Administrator license in 1991. In 2011, she changed her career path and became a practice administrator for a practice serving assisted livings and home patients. She leads a team of 11 providers. Then in 2014 an opportunity came her way to serve home health patients. She now works with Piedmont Home Care. I serve WFB hospital and surrounding facilities and practices. She loves what she does and the connection she has with other healthcare providers along with the patients they serve. Her husband and herself just celebrated 30 years of marriage. They are blessed with 2 wonderful children and now a precious granddaughter. She enjoys spending time with family and friends.
Tina Ketchie Stearns , At Large Board Member NEW
Tina is an Account Executive for Amedisys Home Health covering Forsyth County. She has an MBA from Wake Forest University. She has worked in senior care for 18 years in hospice, senior living and home health. She also advises healthcare business owners who want to either buy to expand their footprint, or sell as an exit strategy. She worked in the travel industry for 20 years before getting into healthcare in 2005. Tina has a son Alex who lives in Winston-Salem and is engaged to be married October 2023. Her hobbies include walking, reading, rocking on the front porch and anything that involves socializing.
Angela Nicholson, At Large Board Member
Angela serves as Community Nurse Educator for Trellis Supportive Care in Winston Salem, NC. She has worked for Trellis for 13 years in multiple positions. Her hobbies include graphic art and sewing.
Melissa Hill, At Large Board Member
Melissa serves as Sales Director for Brookdale Winston Salem Memory Care. The only free-standing Memory Care in Winston Salem. She has been a member of HIPSS for 12 years. She is married with 3 children. Her children are her life outside of work. Her sons do travel baseball and her daughter enjoys gymnastics. In her downtime, she enjoys watching Georgia football.
Cheri Malek, At Large Board Member
Cheri is a graduate of Elon University with a degree in Psychology and Human Services, and has over 22 years of experience in the senior living industry. Her first taste of senior care was working for Charter Behavioral Health marketing their newly created Geriatric-Psych program. From contacts made in that endeavor, she went on to work as director of sales for Marriott Senior Living Services, Sunrise Senior Living and Ridge Care. She worked as a social worker in a skilled nursing facility and served as executive director of an Independent Living Community. Cheri has been serving as the Director of Community Relations for Vienna Village Assisted Living in Pfafftown for the past six years. She has served on the Board of Directors for the Healthcare Industry Professionals Serving Seniors (HIPPS) as Secretary and Education Committee Chair. In addition she served on the Education Planning Committee for NC Assisted Living Association for 4 years. In all of these positions, her passion has been connecting families with the appropriate services at the right time. In her personal life, Cheri is the wife of a Baptist minister and the mother of a very busy twelve year old daughter.
Selene Teague, Alternate Board Member
Selene is director of sales for Brighton Gardens in Winston Salem. She has 15 years hospice experience beginning as a Medical Social Worker and, most recently, as an account manager. In her spare time Selene works at Flint Hill Vineyard (come see her) and enjoys running and cooking… so it’s a good thing she enjoys running. Selene was born and raised in Winston-Salem. She is married and has 2 fur babies and one feathered baby.
