You are the right person for the Vaccine Promotion Coordinator if you are a multi-tasker with exceptional problem-solving and organizational skills and have the ability to make decisions when coordinating referrals for COVID-19 vaccinations. Homebound COVID-19 vaccinations and hesitancy are two challenges faced in this position. Disseminating credible information about vaccinations, help with scheduling a COVID-19 appointment, and arrange for accessible transportation to COVID-19 vaccination sites are priorities for the person in this role. Communicating accurate information to reduce hesitancy and concerns is an aspect of this work.

The ideal candidate for the Vaccine Promotion Coordinator is passionate about helping clients who are hesitant and concerned with the COVID-19 vaccination. The ability to maintain confidentiality while problem solving potential issues related to the health care system, financial, or social barriers is beneficial to this role.

For a typical assignment, the Vaccine Promotion Coordinator would receive a referral from a call center and link them to appropriate vaccinators across the state. You may need to request an interpreter, transportation services, or vaccination scheduling assistance. Work is confidential and requires you to maintain ongoing tracking and appropriate documentation on referrals to promote successful vaccination efforts. You will provide information about the safe and effective COVID-19 vaccination and support clients in reducing health-related risk behaviors. You will recognize the importance of addressing social determinants of health and use creative methods to overcome barriers to receiving the vaccine. Job posting will remain open until filled.
